I have been suffering with what I believe to be internal shingles. I have had it 5 times in two years. After being sent to a dermatologist and being told we only deal with external issues and not internal, and being to the Emergency room several times, my primary care physician suggested an infectious disease doctor. Dr. Alvarado was amazing in his knowledge as well as his compassion. I took my sister to her appointment with him and he found her blood pressure to be alarmingly low. He personally walked her to their Infusion Center next door to give her IV fluids. He held every door open for her and instructed his Infusion nurse what to do. His whole team made my sister their top priority. It was a humbling experience. DR. ALVARADO ROCKS!
Incredible bedside manner! He doesn't rush, is extremely kind, compassionate, patient and answers all of my questions. Gives his opinion on things without being pushy and acting like his way is the only way. I wish more doctors were like him.
