Dr Bellew is very experienced neurosurgeon/neurointerventionist that has excellent experience and top notch bedside manners. He does not push surgery and promotes medical treatment, but when no other options but surgery on intervention are available he has the experience and knowledge to handle. I am a medical student that has worked with Dr. Bellew in the OR and angio lab. He is somewhat of a "green" doctor (less than 5 years out of training). His staff is extremely helpful. He is overall a knowledgeable doctor, and he is up to speed on the latest evidence-based guidelines. He is an expert in neurovascular disease, that is aneurysms, bleeds, strokes. If I ever need surgery again, I would not hesitate to go back to Dr Bellew. He is the BEST doctor I have ever had (and Ive had a lot!) He did brain surgery on me and I felt completely at ease with the whole procedure. He's the only doctor who would take 2 hrs with each patient if necessary, he will not do a procedure if the patient has any doubts.
