don’t come here. not only do they charge you without telling you but you can’t even get ahold of them if they messed up or you need help. it literally takes like a week to hear back from anyone even if it is an important medication issue. I don’t understand how it’s legal for them to take as long as they do to respond. you can’t even call them because everything is a voicemail. we will be transferring our care.
I picked them bc I was under the impression you could make payments via the portal. This IS NOT true! They take your card info to "keep on file" (lie) and then charge you THE ENTIRE AMOUNT. Do not go here! Now I can't pay my rent bc they used my card to take over $500 out for my shitty experience with their counselors instead of allowing me to pay what I could afford. I’ve been going to Ellie Mental Health for a few years now. While Emily Campbell is an incredible psychiatrist, my overall experience with Ellie Mental Health has been frustrating. It’s nearly impossible to get ahold of anyone—calls go straight to voicemail, and it can take up to three business days to get a response. On top of that, I’ve repeatedly had issues with billing. My clinician, Danielle has been absolutely amazing. This facility though has been the worst. When you call, you never actually get to talk to anyone. The phone will ring and ring then go to VM. You leave a message and it takes day for them to reply or reply at all. They have charged my card twice now for no reason. They say it’s a “clerical error” and fix it but only because I’ve noticed it. I’m not sure what the deal is with this place but if it wasn’t for my Danielle, I’d leave.
I have seen others post about billing and automatically charging your credit card and I can say that unfortunately it is totally accurate. They make you put in your credit card so they can just charge it. I was seeing a therapist in 2023-2024. The last time I was seen was early 2024 and was just charged $115 in March 2025 without a statement in the mail or email.
