Amazing hip replacement. Was walking stairs and hospital hallways after anesthesia wore off. Went home by 3 pm. After 5 days, walked a mile....now after 13 days, 2 miles. Went back to work! I also highly recommend Kort Therapy/ rehab. They really worked the hip for flexibility. After 2 weeks I can already do things that I couldn't before the surgery. I see new improvements daily. Saw Dr. Yerasamites on my first visit to determine whether I needed hip replacement. He informed me of all my options...prescription, hip injections, and surgery. I opted to wait on surgery for a 1 1/2 yrs. Did prescription for awhile but not long as that did not help. Then injections every 2 mos. Until it did not last long. Dr Y did my hip replacement on May 18, 2016. After 4 mos. I am 100 percent. I would totally recommend Dr. Yerasamites!

I initially went to see "Dr Y" after hearing he was the best hip surgeon going. Huge Mistake. First of all the ONLY time I saw him was the 1st time we met and he highly recommended a hip replacement. He never bothered to see me after surgery and it took months to get an appointment with him for follow up so I always saw his attending. And there was a ton of follow up needed. Did a great job on my hip 4 years ago. He prescribed a medication for the current issue that I have been taking for 5 days and have not seen any results but will continue for the full month.

Dr. Y did SI joint pinning on wife a few years ago. Now having more problems with same area, but he has moved on and does not do that anymore. Of course we were told that AFTER an office visit with a $45.00 co-pay. He may be a good surgeon but ever seeing him is impossible. Appointments are worse. I think he is too full of himself because he sure doesn't know how to treat people.

I thought he was very robotic in his visit with me " I have done over 4000 hip surgeries" Which is good I want someone who has done THR a lot. However, my meniscus was torn during surgery, which apparently never happens, well it did. Getting a follow-up appt impossible after surgery with MD. Wait time on phones 20 min to talk to a person, usually they were kind of rude as well. Seems short staffed. MA calls back 48 hours later, bad english, hard to understand.
