Dr. Valadie replaced my left knee several years ago and I have not had a single problem since. The operation happened one day and I went home the next morning. He is an excellent Orthopedic doctor.
Dr valadie just did my right hip. 6 weeks later and I’m getting around like I never had a surgery. Great movement and minimal scar (thank you Ashley). Dr. Valadie and his team are great to work with from first consultation to post surgery.
In the past 2 years he has replaced my hip and knee. No pressure to have the surgeries and left it up to me to decide when to have them. Explained everything well and surgeries / recovery went exactly as he said it would. His entire organization is professional. Staff, PA's, etc. are well trained and caring from scheduling through post-surgery re-hab. I highly recommend Dr. Valadie and Coastal Orthopedics.
He advised me as if I were his own father. He had a cancellation and I saw him on a Thursday and had lower back surgery on the following Monday. He explained everything thoroughly and it all went well. Coastal even provided for home nursing and physical therapy visits. I would highly recommend Dr. Sundberg and Coastal Orthopedics to anyone.

Dr. Valadie called me at home today. It is indeed another example of his responsiveness, thoroughness and compassion. Unfortunately, over my 77 years I’ve had the far too much experience with doctors; however, he is truly an extraordinary one with a personality and manner that naturally projects competence, experience, interest, level headedness, and real concern for his patient’s wellbeing. You’ll find no better doctor.

PA Ashley was smart, great communicator/listener. Annnd she gave the best shot ever whew. Mitchell assisted Ashley and he was upbeat & they worked well together. I consulted Dr. Schafer as I had terrible knee pain. I was barely able to walk. I had planned a ski trip for about two months from my initial problem. When I met with Dr. Schafer, he was very sensitive to my condition, consulted my xrays and MRI, and came up with a treatment which took into account my plan. He treated me with three injections of euflexxa. These worked incredibly well and I was able to go on my vacation. At all times, Dr. Schafer was courteous, competent, and sensitive to my concerns.
