I had a total knee replacement and no one can believe how well I’m doing 3 months later. I can walk and ride my back so I’ve lost 15 pound. I have full range of motion. I can kneel down to work on something. I had several questions arise but their office answered them all in a timely manner. Couldn’t be happier with my care or with my new knee at age 70.

Had a great knee replacement experience with Dr Harkess. Was walking first day after surgery with almost no pain at all. Within one week was back to my normal routine with no complications!

From my first visit with Dr. Harkess he put me at ease about having my total knee replacement done. He has a very professional and caring attitude and answered all of my questions and concerns. Not big on doctors or medical procedures but can't say enough good things about Dr. Harkess' work. He explained how quick and effective full hip replacements are for most patients and I was sold. I entered in the morning and was out by early afternoon using only a walker. After a few days the pain was gone and my leg felt better than it had for years. Dr Harkess is an amazing orthopedic surgeon. Dr Harkess has done both of my hips surgeries. Dr Harkess gave me back the mobility to walk again and without pain. He has been truly blessed with gifted hands. He is not only a great surgeon but a terrific doctor, He will be the only orthopedic doctor I will ever suggest to my family and friends. I can’t say “Thank You”, enough to him for giving me back the gift of a normal life again..

I am very pleased with Dr Harkess and with Coastal Orthopedics on Hwy 64. My experience was great and my recovery has exceeded my expectations. I was walking within two weeks and my pain level has basically dropped to nothing. I highly recommend Dr Harkess and his staff, as well as the PT department.

Dr Harkess replaced two of my hips within a four month period. He is an amazing doctor. Recovery time was minimal within three weeks I was able to walk without the assistance of a walker or cane. Dr. Harkess is very professional but also very compassionate. I recommend him to anyone who needs hip replacements. His staff is also wonderful.

Dr Harkess is patience and knowledgeable. He did a revision on my knee. It works so much better than the other. I also broke my Femur Ana my old artificial knee popped out and broke my Femur. My whole leg was shot. I wish I had him do my first set of artificial Knees.
